3 Days Tour

A three-day journey through mountains, lakes, and the most authentic inland Sicily

Day 1

The Cliffs

The first stage will take us to discover the Rocche del Crasto, imposing limestone formations rising to 1,315 meters, part of the Nebrodi range in the Sicilian Apennines, located between the areas of Alcara Li Fusi and Longi. Here, with a bit of luck, it will be possible to spot the griffon vultures that inhabit this area.

The route continues through forests and valleys until reaching one of the most scenic mountain lakes in the Nebrodi, Lago Trearie. From here, we will head towards Floresta, the highest town in the Nebrodi, where a lunch stop is planned.

In the afternoon, we will ride through the Bosco di Mangalaviti until reaching the second lake of the day, Lago Biviere. If weather conditions are favorable, it will be possible to see both the Aeolian Islands and Mount Etna from this point.

Leaving the lake behind, we return towards the coast, riding along trails and dirt roads back to the accommodation.

Day 2

The Inland

We will venture into the heart of the Park, climbing up to Monte Soro, the highest peak, where we will admire unique mountain landscapes and the typical vegetation of the area, including the Nebrodi maple.

We will continue towards Cesarò, another village immersed in the Park, then follow the south-western section of the Nebrodi Ridge, the main trail that crosses the entire area through ancient beech forests, lakes, and breathtaking views, until reaching Troina, an ancient town in the heart of the island, listed among the most beautiful villages in Italy, where we will make a short stop.

We will then resume our journey heading back towards the Nebrodi, passing by Lake Sartori and the Ancipa Dam, an important water and energy resource for several Sicilian provinces.

From here, we will once again enter the woods, crossing the evocative historic trail known as the “Cannedda”, still today a pilgrimage route for the inhabitants of Capizzi in honor of Saint Anthony of Padua.

After a lunch break in a restaurant nestled in the forest, we will continue towards Lake Maulazzo, the most famous lake in the Nebrodi, before heading back to the accommodation, once again surrounded by stunning natural landscapes.

Giorno 3

Forests and Traditions

The final day is dedicated to the San Fratello area, riding through dense forests, stream crossings, and trails shaped by livestock paths.

The route develops through wide valleys and open landscapes until reaching the area of Cesarò, where a lunch stop is planned immersed in nature. Here, in a scenic setting in the heart of the forest, you will enjoy typical local products, including the Nebrodi Black Pig.

In the afternoon, the ride continues towards one of the most panoramic points in the area to visit the Nelson Obelisk, a historic monument located in the territory of Maniace, linked to Admiral Horatio Nelson.

After the visit, return to the accommodation and end of the tour.

The largest natural park in Sicily

The Nebrodi Park is one of the most authentic areas of the island.

Ancient forests, mountain lakes, dirt roads, and views opening onto the sea create a unique environment, perfect for experiencing enduro immersed in nature.
